Blade size - 9.5" or 10" The Kingfish has the largest surface area of all our models, the outline is based on our Haku model from 2015 and was brought back for the 2025 World Sprint Champs. Designed for paddlers looking for more load on their blade. Carbon reinforced edges for increased durability.

New improved powerface combining all the learnings from previous models. The bottom of the blade is flat to maintain an easy entry and exit. The top of the blade has a slight curve combined with a more V shaped dihedral ensures this blade maintains both stability and hold during the pull phase of the stroke.

Short distance, stronger paddlers for OC1, W1 and W6.

Created in collaboration with elite waka ama athlete Hine Brooking, this limited-edition Tai Paddle is a celebration of speed, strength, and identity on the water.

Product Description

Created in collaboration with elite waka ama athlete Hine Brooking, this limited-edition Tai Paddle is a celebration of speed, strength, and identity on the water.

At the heart of the design is a flowing kowhaiwhai featuring Maroro (flying fish) — a powerful symbol of speed, power, and flight. These qualities reflect Hine’s dynamic paddling style and her ability to rise and move effortlessly across the water.

Interwoven throughout the blade are deeply significant Māori motifs:

Mangōpare representing strength, resilience, and determination

Puhoro symbolising speed, agility, and a deep connection to wai

Koru signifying growth, development, humility, and continual progression

Subtly embedded within the artwork are elements inspired by Hine’s own moko, proudly worn on her arms. These details honour her journey in waka ama and acknowledge the dedication, aroha, and gratitude she holds for her whānau and sponsors who support her path.

Finished in Hine’s signature pink and teal, colours that reflect her personal style and have become synonymous with her presence on the water, this paddle is both a performance tool and a statement of identity.

Use our Paddle Length Calculator to measure your body height and paddling style - or contact us and we’ll help you choose.

Is there a difference between the different paddle design materials?

No all of our paddles have the same weight and performance. The difference comes down to look and feel:

Timber – Offers a natural, traditional aesthetic.

Carbon/Elements/Durable – Made from high-quality carbon fibre, strong and dependable.

Poutama – A premium carbon with a distinctive woven pattern for a unique finish.
